The goal of this project is to make a contribution to the study of defense and the armed forces in South America and Argentina particularly. It sets out to produce and disseminate  weekly reports based on the review of news published in the media and other information sources from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The project is the Argentine contribution to a broader initiative that is coordinated regionally by the International Defense and Security Study Group (GEDES) at the State University of São Paulo (UNESP) and the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil. The project is aligned with research priorities of the Centre for International Studies, School of Politics and Government, National University of San Martin (UNSAM), Argentina.
