RESEARCH INTERESTS

Vila Seoane investigates science, technology and innovation issues from Political Science and International Relations perspectives. He is currently interested in how the growing rivalry between the US and China is transforming science, technology and innovation policies in Latin American countries.

Vila Seoane published articles in Spanish and English in international journals, such as: Chinese Journal of Communication, Information Communication and Society, The Information Society, Third World Quarterly, International Relations, among others, as well as several book chapters.

He has been a scholar of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He was a consultant for the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina.
